The Snapvlt is a Type 2 EV charger compatible with electric vehicles that use the Type 2 charging standard, which is the most common EV charging connector across Europe including models from Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Renault, Nissan, Tesla, and many others. Always check your vehicle's charging specification before purchasing.

2. How fast does the Snapvlt charge an electric vehicle? The Snapvlt delivers up to 3.5kW at 16A, providing a charging time of approximately 5 to 20 hours depending on the vehicle's battery size and onboard charger capacity. Adjustable current from 8A to 16A allows the charging speed to be matched to the available power supply.

3. Can the Snapvlt be used outdoors? Yes, the Snapvlt carries an IP65 waterproof rating, protecting it against rain and outdoor weather conditions for safe use in driveways, outdoor parking areas, and all external charging locations in all seasons.

4. What is the anti-theft lock on the Snapvlt? The anti-theft plug lock engages automatically the moment charging begins, securing the Type 2 connector to the vehicle's charge port and preventing unauthorised removal of the cable during the charging session.

5. Does the Snapvlt have scheduled charging? Yes, the Snapvlt supports scheduled charging, allowing you to programme a preferred start time for charging sessions — ideal for taking advantage of off-peak overnight electricity tariffs and reducing running costs.

6. What safety protections does the Snapvlt have? The Snapvlt includes four built-in protection systems — power failure protection for safe shutdown on supply interruption, automatic cut-off when the vehicle reaches full charge, temperature control monitoring throughout the session, and a wide operating temperature range from -30°C to +50°C.

7. How long is the cable on the Snapvlt? The Snapvlt comes with a 10-metre heavy-duty cable, providing generous reach for flexible positioning between the power supply and the vehicle without needing to reposition the car.

8. Where can the Snapvlt be used? The Snapvlt is suitable for home use, underground garages, office car parks, and public charging locations wherever a 220 to 240V supply is available. The IP65 waterproof rating covers both indoor and outdoor environments.
